Wendy Hensel Selected as Next President of University of Hawai'i

Seasoned academic and trained attorney, Wendy Hensel, was selected as the 16th President of the University of Hawaii effective January 2025.

Since 2022, Hensel has served as the Executive Vice Chancellor and University Provost at CUNY. Prior to that she was the Provost and Senior Vice President for Academic Affairs and Dean (and prior to that interim dean) of the College of Law at Georgia State University where she had served on the faculty for many years.  Prior to joining Georgia State College of Law, she was an associate at Alston & Bird LLP in Atlanta.

Hensel is a graduate of Harvard Law School.
