
Federal Judge James E. Shadid has been selected to lead Bradley University effective April 1, 2025. Shadid currently serves as a senior judge of the United States District Court for the Central District of Illinois. Prior to his appointment to the federal bench, he served as a state judge for 10 years, and had been a part-time public defender.
Shadid had served as an adjunct faculty member and he is a former trustee of the University.
Shadid earned his JD from John Marshall Law School (now UIC School of Law).
